It is mostly metal the only plastic part is the body and even if it was metal it would whey alot more than it already does wich is pretty heavy. Anyway everyone says the bipod is bad wich it is kinda but I know how to fix it. First don't let it fold by itself or it strips the metal and ruins it. Then u push  the legs in all the way and hold them there while twisting the studded ring above it until it stays in. For some reson it worked for mine. I'm not sure about others. Was this review helpful to you?   2 of 2 people found the following review helpful:   pretty sweet bad bipod June 16, 2010 Reviewer: Anonymous person   Really cool very heavy and sturdy.  But the bipod was bad.  When I pull the gun back the bipod gives out and falls over.  So I ask for a new one from hitguns.  They took at least 24 to 48 hours to reply to my emails. Finally I sent my bipod to them and I paid for the $10 shipping.  I think they might of sent back a different bipod but im leery that they sent back the same one.  Its sturdier but one leg isn't amazing. I've had it for about a month and a half and played a couple wars with it. Its powerful enough to leave bloody welts and is very accurate. I highly suggest .25g bbs or higher to increase your accuracy. The only problems i had with this package is that the scope constantly needs adjustment and the bolt is kinda wobbly.
