I received this gun broken right off the bat. Then about a MONTH later after I found out FedEx delivered it to the wrong address I got a new one. It didn't work right still. It was double feeding every shot. Then It broke exactly how the first one came, when you pull the bolt back, it slams forward not loading a BB or anything. It does feel realistic I'll give it that and it shot pretty hard the 5 times I got it to shoot

I got this gun a few weeks ago and it is the best gun i have ever used.

PROS:
-VERY light. its like 5 lbs
-Very accurate, though the bb's tend to stray to the left or right every few shots
-It has a nice rubbery feel to it.
-Very durable and well put together
-Can reach 500 fps with a few internal modifications

CONS:
-When you first get it you have to put the mag release together and that is a pain in the ass if you lose a piece.

Also i wish to find an EdGi Custom 6.01 mm tightbore barrel or a DBCustom 6.01 mm tightbore. Does anyone know where to find one?

Fantastic gun, but no parts availability	May 20, 2009

Where I live, outdoor firearm shooting is prohibited, so I was looking for a scoped rifle I could shoot indoors. The JG BAR-10 is perfect for this. Once the scope is dialed in, it is nearly a nail driver & has a great feel to it.

The included scope is good, but at indoor distances, the scope parallax is noticeable. I'd recommend getting a scope with parallax adjust down to 5 or 10 yards for indoors.

The one down side is that spare parts are not available.

Mine was missing the magazine release button (despite having spent $5 on the "quality assurance" check.)

You cannot order this part online from anyone, and HitGuns told me they will send me one when it becomes available, but it has been several weeks now. I will eventually machine this part from scratch if I don't soon receive the replacement part.

If it weren't for the unavailability of replacement parts, I'd give this gun 5 stars. It's excellent for indoor target practice!

I love this gun so much, i played my first schrimish with this yesterday, i did not die once and it got me 8 kills. it was a small schrimish either way. but the accuracy's awesome, the range is awesome, the scope is awesome, everything, is awesome. I named her Barbra

dude just got this gun today(christmas) and its awsome any way i was setting up coke cans in my barn hay loft and i was shooting at them from 25meters away! and ive done no upgrades and i was hitting them and i was shooting up!?!? over all great gun i reccaend it any serious sniper would be over satisfied!

i had second thoughts after that last reveiw but it came in yesterday. i can hit a target on a tree from 200 ft away the power is also blistering im on a team and they were all amazed i highly recommend it!

mistake in making gun	August 3, 2008

when you get this gun, the directions to put it together are VERY confusing. you can easily lose or break the mag release. i got the scope version and the holes on the scope rail mount were not correctly spaced, and i could not get the screws in. i managed to get in the front 2 but the screw guiders in the back broke. now, the scope is a little to the right (i mean like barely to the right) and the bb comes out WAY to the left through the scope. i hope hitguns will give me another scope mount. the fps is incredibly fast. the gun shoots incredibly far too. the only bad thing is getting the scope perfectly in place. the gun is perfect, just not the scope rail all the time. i would DEFINITLY reccomend this gun for new or experienced snipers. if you want a cheap, great quality sniper, get this, the normal version or the g-specs version with silencer.

I got the Bar-10 about 4 months ago, here are the pros and cons;

Pros-
Great rubbery feel on the ABS plastic
BEST SCOPE IVE EVER USED
Pretty good power
Pretty good price
Easily upgradeable

Cons-
Not as accurate as some say, its about as accurate as an ICS M4, just not automatic

Upgrade cost a lot of money, to fully upgrade the internals you can look at spending a couple hundred, possibly around $400.

Bolt pull is actually pretty great, takes about 25lbs

Bolt sometimes sticks when its being pushed back in.

Overall, its a great beginner sniper, but isn't that great of a weapon up against ICS's, CA's and G&G's because its accuracy isn't phenomenal for being bolt action. Sometimes it can be inconsistent in which direction it misses, a good tight bore barrel would do great things, but you can expect it to run you just under $100

NOTE: Haven't used .3g bbs yet. I will write again after I have used .3g
