Close quarters combat, also known simply as CQB, refers to combat of small units or teams to engage the enemy at a very short range (up to 30 meters). The scenarios are very fast as attackers attempt to overtake and control the area of combat and eliminate hostiles and generally applicable to urban and indoor settings. In Airsoft, because players are often closely thrown in together, close quarters combat demands a keen awareness of your surroundings and possible enemy locations, quick reflexes, and staying in motion. Choosing a load-out to keep up with the fast pace and movements of the game is key so players should look for weapons with a good rate of fire as targets flash past you, a shorter length gun to maneuver through corridors and tight spaces effortlessly.
