The AR15 was originally designed as part of the U.S. military initiative to develop a lighter smaller caliber weapon as the standard infantry rifle. This innovative weapon utilized aircraft technology to lighten the rifles overall weight. This led to the creation of the M16 which has served as the backbone of the U.S. Military for more than 40 years and is still found in service today. From Dboys is this full metal airsoft version of this famed rifle with a long metal Rail Interface System for attaching its included accessories, metal upper and lower receiver, metal barrel and front iron sight, and a metal carry handle with integrated rear iron sight. The extended length of the gun will give players a field advantage of shooting farther distances than shorter length guns. Being the traditional hand guards have been replaced with a cutting edge metal RIS, it includes nylon fiber rail covers that slide onto the rails to give the shooter a comfortable place to grip the weapon. With its full size fixed stock the user has a solid support to shoulder the weapon. It utilizes the popular Version 2 gearbox design featuring a full metal gearbox with metal bushings and gears to give you 350 FPS of power for each shot. Sling points can be found at the base of the stock and front of the gun for slings, while a PEQ box is included which houses the battery so you may simply connect and disconnect its battery quickly without opening up the gun.
